COURSE DESCRIPTION

During this class, students will gain an understanding of advanced color and composition theory for image making. Students focus on more advanced compositional, lighting theory, value and color metaphor.

Learning Objectives

Students objectives focus on practical information on advanced shape design, general to specific process, figure field, tonal balance, color circulation, advanced lighting, in-depth master study, spatial creation, advanced narrative, edge play, and deep mood and emotional studies through practice and knowledge based in composition and color history.

Learning Outcomes

During this class the student will become aware of the importance of viewing the entire figure as a unit, focusing on the overall shape. Students will learn to emphasize the character and gesture of the subject. Action and dynamic poses will be stressed.

Course Requirements

Students will be issued a syllabus that will list the goals, projected outcomes, grading system, and any other resources the instructor deems necessary. Prerequisite: CMP101: Composition + Color Theory I.
