COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students continue focusing on the process the industry uses when developing intellectual properties. We will create visual design guide and art bible used to create the projects in the other Entertainment 2D classes this semester and further complete the greenlight pitch process. Students will create the pitch and production concept art for new and licensed intellectual properties, while studying best practices and learning to work with industry production schedules. Students will work as a team to create the art bible, pitch materials, and assets with cohesive unified vision.

Learning Objectives

The main focuses for this class are for students to understand how to create and finalize pitches, while preparing project foundations. Other key goals are for students to understand the process of creating visual ideas for entertainment and learn advanced methods of creating concept art. Targeted objectives are for students to learning to work as a team and develop unity.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to use their knowledge gained and the latest production methods used in the industry, while refining their skills at working within a team to create intellectual property.

Course Requirements

Students will be issued a syllabus that will list the goals, projected outcomes, grading system, and any other resources the instructor deems necessary. All enrolled students must have completed both Entertainment A.

All TAD classes include live demonstrations, thought provoking lectures, relevant presentations, instructor and peer feedback and critique, with a conscious effort made for content appropriate for artists of all skill levels and trades, and applicable to the freelance artist as well as the corporate visual communicator.

All TAD classes are streamed live and then available 24 hours a day to students On Demand, enabling a fully flexible schedule for viewing the classes and getting the direct and personal feedback required to be successful. Live classes are scheduled according to Central Standard Time (CST), adjusted for Daylight Savings Time (CDT) during the summer months.
