COURSE DESCRIPTIONThis unique and in-depth class features nude and costumed models utilizing high quality photography with exceptional lighting. Figure Drawing III will take the student back to observational drawing and the study of gesture toward a better understanding of proportions, in seeing the larger issues of picture making before the smaller ones and in capturing the elusive spirit of the pose. Students will learn to create drawings that live on the page and in the mind of the viewer. Personal point of view as well as confidence in ones choices will be stressed. Students will be able to see demonstrations, presentations and get feedback on their work both Live and On Demand, allowing for total schedule flexibility. Learning ObjectivesAn understanding of the technical aspects of drawing as they relate to gesture, proportions, value control, and composition are vital to all aspects of narrative picture making. Learning OutcomesStudents will be putting together the essential tools needed to carry them into their last semester of drawing instruction. Effective use of gesture, proportions, figures within solid compositions, point of view, all will be available to the student upon successful completion of this class. Course RequirementsStudents will be issued a syllabus that will list the goals, projected outcomes, grading system, and any other resources the instructor deems necessary. All enrolled students must have completed both Foundations A and B. |
All TAD classes include live demonstrations, thought provoking lectures, relevant presentations, instructor and peer feedback and critique, with a conscious effort made for content appropriate for artists of all skill levels and trades, and applicable to the freelance artist as well as the corporate visual communicator.
All TAD classes are streamed live and then available 24 hours a day to students On Demand, enabling a fully flexible schedule for viewing the classes and getting the direct and personal feedback required to be successful. Live classes are scheduled according to Central Standard Time (CST), adjusted for Daylight Savings Time (CDT) during the summer months.
