May 12, 2011: Local artist and friend of TAD Graydon Parrish will be speaking at Austin's Blanton Museum of Art on Thursday, May 12 at 12:30pm-1:30pm. He will be discussing the portrait in art along with comments on his own work. This artist talk is being held in conjunction with the Blanton's current exhibit, About Face: Portraiture As Subject, on view April 30 - September 4, 2011. Included in the show are works by John Singer Sargent, Jean Dominique Ingres, Chuck Close, Alice Neel, Robert Henri, Graydon Parrish, Diego Rivera and Kehinde Wiley.
